Nuwarinda Miria

Miria began her legal career as a Legal Intern at Birungyi Barata and Associates, a distinguished private law firm, where she gained valuable exposure to key aspects of legal practice and Tax Dispute Procedures.

She later joined MNKA East Africa as a Junior Legal Officer where she Conducted basic legal research on land tenure and usage rights, particularly related to MNKA’s operations in Kaigo and Bujawe, referencing the Land Act and guidance from the Hoima District Land Office among other various roles.

Miria serves as a dedicated Legal Assistant at Kiiza & Kwanza Advocates. In this role, she carries out a wide range of assignments and responsibilities in the banking, finance, and commercial sectors, as well as land-related matters, developing in-depth expertise in these areas.

Her experience spans to conducting due diligence investigations, legal and compliance audits, perfection and realization of securities, and providing advisory services to both corporate and individual clients. She has successfully supported transactions and assignments for leading financial institutions, such as ABC Capital Bank, Cairo Bank Uganda Limited, Bank of Africa, Bank of India, GenAfrica Asset Managers and Eleglance Finance Limited.

Miria continues to provide high-quality legal support in land, corporate, and commercial matters, demonstrating a growing proficiency in navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
